Explore cultural highlights of Kathmandu such as Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Durbar Square. Complete trekking paperwork and buy any last-minute supplies. Evening: meet the trekking team and review the itinerary.
Travel by jeep or bus to Besishahar, the starting point of the trek. Begin walking along terraced fields and river valleys to Bahundanda, enjoying views of the Annapurna foothills. Overnight in a local lodge.
Descend and follow the Marsyangdi River, passing traditional Gurung villages and lush forests. Reach Chamje, a riverside village known for its friendly locals and teahouses.
The trail becomes slightly steeper, leading through pine forests and suspension bridges. Arrive at Dharapani, where trekkers often acclimatize while enjoying the peaceful village and local culture.
Start early to cross Thorong La Pass (5,416 m), the highest point of the trek. Enjoy panoramic Himalayan views, then descend to Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists.
Trek down the Kali Gandaki Valley, passing through villages, apple orchards, and terraced fields. Arrive at Marpha, famous for its apple brandy and traditional stone houses.
Continue descending through the valley, following the Kali Gandaki River. Cross several suspension bridges and enjoy the lush valley scenery before reaching Ghasa, a small village with welcoming lodges.
Trek through subtropical forests to Tatopani, known for its hot springs. Relax and soak your muscles in natural thermal baths after a long day of trekking.
Climb through dense forests and picturesque villages to Ghorepani, gateway to Poon Hill, one of the most famous sunrise viewpoints in Nepal. Overnight in a cozy teahouse.
Wake up early for a sunrise view at Poon Hill, watching Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machapuchare glow in the morning light. Afterward, trek to Tadapani, passing rhododendron forests.
Descend through terraced farmland and traditional Gurung villages to Ghandruk, offering cultural immersion, museum visits, and scenic mountain views.
Complete the trek by walking down to Nayapul, then drive to Pokhara, a lakeside city. Relax by Phewa Lake, enjoy local cuisine, and celebrate the completion of the circuit.
